Minimum Criteria for Application
- The Agency/Company must have been in existence for the last 10 financial years and must have been incorporated in India.
- The Agency/Company must have experience for recruitment of Officers in Public
Sector General Insurance Companies and/or Life Insurance Corporation of India. Proofs to be submitted in form of Work Order or Completion certificate. In the absence of this experience, the application will not be entertained. - The Agency /Company must have experience and requisite IT infrastructure in the following:-
i) Receiving applications & examination fees in “ON LINE” mode.
ii) Distributing Admit cards through Web.

- If any applicant declares or files misleading statement or misrepresents the facts, then the applicant will be disqualified from the process of selection.
- The officials of NIC may conduct site visit at the work place of applicant on suitable dates for verifying the infrastructure & facilities etc.
- NIC reserves rights to select applicant on the basis of above mentioned criteria.
- Any dispute arising out of this selection process or in execution of selection works/recruitment exercise, will be subject to the jurisdiction of “Courts in Kolkata‟.

Selection Process
Selection of the candidates for appointment on the post will be based on written test. In the test questions will be framed in objective and descriptive type for 200 marks. Three hours of total time will be allotted for this examination. The objective type questions will be related to reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude and general awareness & computer knowledge. The descriptive type questions will be related to English language as essay, precise and comprehension. Objective type questions will be printed in both English and Hindi medium.
